Solder pallets
Solder pallets are among the products that help save time in production when assembling components by wave soldering.
We manufacture pallets for selective soldering in assemblies of mixed components (PTH/SMD) and adhesive SMD for later soldering by wave soldering machine. This system allows for the protection of previously welded SMD components by reflow and areas where it is necessary to avoid conventional welding.
Main characteristics of our solder pallets
- Our wave solder pallets protect all inserted SMD components, exposing the PCB to the wave only when soldering is required. In this way the components are not affected during the process.
- There is no need to manually glue or protect inserted components, thus significantly reducing time, cost and errors from manual handling.
- Eliminate the need for piece welding and reduce remelting.
- Improve solder flow in insertion areas.
- They have aluminium or Composite reinforcements.
- Long-lasting, ergonomic anchors secure parts in position. They have titanium rivets instead of steel to avoid cross contamination and prevent wicking.
- Overlapping bars hold inserted components in place, and can also be used as an alignment tool.
- The outer aluminium edges provide appropriate rigidity to the fixing and act as a container for the solder so that it does not overflow through the circuit.
- Bezels and grooves improve access and channel the gas, reducing defects. They can minimise the vent effect to release surface tension. In addition, they act as weld guides in and out of the through holes
