The process begins with a piece of epoxy resin produced using stereolithography, which is given the same surface finish as is required of the injected parts. This model is used as the epoxy resin or silicone master. Once the mould has been obtained, a gun is used to inject the polyurethane resin at low pressure and produce the desired part.
The resulting parts are functional and are normally large. It is then possible to machine the material, apply surface treatments, add metallic inserts and paint it.
